Christine Robinson
Christine Robinson is an Australian visual artist known for her whimsical, folk-inspired paintings that blend vibrant colours, stylised animals, and intricate patterns. Originally from Adelaide, she studied at the South Australian School of Art as a mature-age student—a period she describes as a “wondrous four years.”
For the past two decades, Robinson has lived in Murwillumbah, a creative hub in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. She works from a small, cluttered studio filled with art supplies and accompanied by her three cats—The Phantom, Mr. Puggles, and Winnie. Her daily practice is deeply influenced by the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains and the vibrant local arts community.
Robinson’s paintings often feature stylised birds, cats, and flora, rendered in bold, flat colours and geometric patterns. Her work is available through various online galleries, including Bluethumb, and has been featured in exhibitions across Australia.
