Elizabeth Bowen
Elizabeth Bowen is an Adelaide-based contemporary visual artist and painter who has maintained a full-time visual arts practice since 2014. Having completed her formative training part-time at the Adelaide Central School of Art between 2012 and 2016, her work has been shaped by a decade of deep integration within the local creative ecosystem, including previous studio tenures at Fontanelle and the Audio Centre. Widely recognized for her charming, distinctly Australian landscapes and still lifes, Bowen's broader practice translates the familiar geography, light, and architecture of South Australia into intimate visual narratives. Centred on themes of memory, belonging, and connection to place, this exhibition directly reflects her deep local roots—capturing the quiet resonance and unique character of the specific Adelaide topographies that have shaped her personal and artistic journey.
