Eugene Casey

Eugene Casey is an Australian artist based in the Adelaide Hills town of Mount Barker, South Australia. He works primarily in watercolour and oil, drawing inspiration from the picturesque landscapes surrounding the region. His art is particularly noted for its depictions of country roads and vineyards, capturing the serene beauty of rural life.

In addition to his traditional landscape paintings, Casey explores contemporary artistic expressions. He has experimented with pointillism, reconstructed jigsaw paintings, and surrealist works, showcasing his versatility and willingness to push creative boundaries. His recent series has been inspired by visits to the Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens, providing him with abundant material for his current works.

Casey's talent has been recognized in various art competitions. Notably, he won the Oil & Acrylic Category at the 2009 Clare Rotary Art Show with his piece Daniel’s Road Number 1. He also received a Special Commendation at the 2014 Clare Rotary Art Show for Vines on the Lane No 2
