Jacob Logos

Jacob Logos is a multidisciplinary artist operating from Adelaide, whose practice integrates layered textures, public murals, and community-engaged studio work to explore themes of identity, place, and cultural dialogue. His work is rooted in the vibrant public art ecology of Adelaide—echoing local projects such as the Cultural Marker in Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga with Jacob Logos and Kaurna collaborators, which used engraved granite and community-driven illustration to celebrate Kaurna language and heritage. Logos adopts a narrative visual language informed by Indigenous motifs, urban forms, and flora—rendered in figurative compositions and textured surfaces that reflect both the urban and natural landscapes of South Australia. He collaborates closely with local schools and cultural organisations to co-create artworks that foreground storytelling, place‑based knowledge, and cross‑cultural exchange in public spaces. Logos also produces a parallel studio practice—portraits, still‑life, and mixed‑media works—that weave illustrative linework with paint washes and material experimentation, informed by residencies and textile collaborations similar to those explored by peers in the region. His ambition is to foster visual narratives that feel deeply grounded in Adelaide’s communities, while engaging in global dialogues around memory, language, and the environment.
