Adelaide-based artist Katie Pearson creates atmospheric paintings that explore the emotional space between the familiar and the unknown. Working primarily in oil, her practice is informed by experiences of grief, memory and transformation, using light, colour and layered surfaces to evoke moments that feel both tangible and dreamlike.
A graduate of the Adelaide Central School of Art, Pearson is drawn to the quiet ambiguity of twilight, where shifting light and elongated shadows dissolve certainty and invite contemplation.
