Sophie Hann

Sophie Hann is a contemporary Australian artist based in Adelaide, South Australia, who specialises in portraiture and landscape painting, often drawing inspiration from the coastal environment. Her work is characterised by a deep connection to nature, solitude, and the human form.

Hann holds a Bachelor of Visual Art and studied at the New York Studio School, where she was awarded the Ruth Tuck Award and the Dysan Bequest from the Art Gallery of New South Wales. She has been a practicing artist and art teacher for over 20 years, exhibiting across Australia and participating in numerous awards, including the Brett Whiteley Scholarship and the Hans Heysen Landscape Prize.
