The Dust from The Storm Still in the Air

My artistic process involves drawing from inspiration such as travel, the Australian landscape and my love for mid-century interior design. For two of the artworks, I have used wood as the substrate The wood surface has enabled me to sand and explore different painterly applications.
The still life is an exploration into the objects we keep and the rituals that go with these objects. The objects are abstracted from the original items but at the heart of it is the story of collecting particular memorabilia to keep our memories and rituals alive.
