Rosie Lewis

Rosie Lewis is an Australian artist based in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. Her work is deeply inspired by the natural world, particularly Australia's diverse flora and fauna. Living amidst the bush, she finds constant inspiration in the intricate details of ecosystems that often go unnoticed.

Currently pursuing university studies in Animal Behaviour, Rosie integrates scientific knowledge into her artistic practice, enhancing her understanding and appreciation of conservation. She also works with a wildlife education company, teaching the public about Australia's animals and their habitats, including some of the country's most vulnerable species.

Rosie's artwork is featured in The Biophilia Project, where she creates watercolour pieces celebrating native Australian flora and fauna. The project emphasizes the human connection to nature, aligning with the term "biophilia," which denotes an innate affinity for the natural world.

Her work was also showcased in the 2023 South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) Art Show, where she presented "The Biophilia Hypothesis," reflecting her exploration of the deep connections between humans and nature.

Through her art, Rosie Lewis aims to educate and inspire others, fostering a greater appreciation for the natural world and the importance of conservation.
